Roommate Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

The day starts with roommate Gukjoo moving a whiteboard to shield sunlight from Jackson and Kang-Joon's sleeping bodies. The night before, Jackson and Kang-Joon spray painted their room and had to sleep in the living room due to the smell of the paint.

Kang-Joon and Jackson wake up. Jackson complains to Gukjoo that the white board only shielded Kang-Joon, not Jackson from the sunlight. Kang-Joon wakes up the other roommates.

Gukjoo, Sunny and Nana decide to have a Girls Day Out. They visit a Tarot shop. Nana goes first and decides to have her Tarot reading be about relationships. The Tarot lady tells her to pick five cards and then explains what the cards mean. The lady tells Nana that her time for a relationship has come, but for her to be in a relationship she needs to be more active. Nana thinks she needs to go to clubs to be more active. The lady explains further that since Nana already has someone in her heart it wil be hard for her to be in a new relationship. Nana gets surprised. The lady continues that Nana has too many men in her life. Gukjoo mentions Jo Seho, another roommate, and Nana chastises her, haha. Nana's problem is that she's not active, but that's because she thinks that work is more important than relationships right now. She has good luck with blind dates, however, but the people she knows now are not for her. Also, she has better luck with men her own age than men who have age differences with her.

Sunny's turn comes. She wants her Tarot to be read in the context of work, which would be her Girls' Generation work. The card that she chooses turns out to have a skeleton on it, which is not a good sign. The lady says that the current situation of her work is not good and it also means that Sunny wants to leave her current situation. It will be good for her to have friends nearby.

Gukjoo's turn is next. Like Nana, Gukjoo is curious about relationships. The lady says that Gukjoo's desire for love has decreased, but whenever a potential love interest comes around Gukjoo is thankful. Gukjoo laughs. Right now, she is too busy to be in a relationship, but she always thinks about being in love. Gukjoo calls herself pitiful, LOL. Also, she is still hurt from a previous relationship so if she doesn't resolve it then it will be hard for her to move on. There may be chance for her this year (2014). However, when she asks the lady if there will be a chance between her and the man she is thinking of, the lady says no. The man is Kang-Joon and Gukjoo is saddened. The lady says their relationship is better off as a friendship.

The boys- Joon hyung, Jo Seho, GOT7's Jackson and actor Otani Ryohei decide to go skateboarding. joon gives a lesson on skateboarding. After a while, they decide to have a math. The teams are Joon and Ryohei versus Jackson and Seho. The latter team wins and as punishment the winning team flicks their fingers on the foreheads of the losing team members. It's hilarious at the reactions of the losing teams as they are met with pain. Joon especially tries to guilt Jackson into going easy on him by playing the JYP family card (both are part of the JYP company), but Jackson flicks him hard.

Now it's Jackson versus Seho. Jackson wins and the other two punish Seho by hitting his harm (it's a game). Seho cries out in pain. There's another competition, this time between all of them. Jackson loses. This time Jackson plays the JYP card on Joon and gets hit hard in response LOL.

Now, back to the girls. They sit in a cafe balcony drinking lemonade and talking. Their conversation starts jokingly with each other bragging about the men in their lives. Nana wins by saying, as a joke, that her husband won't leave her alone at night (she doesn't have a husband, to clarify). They get into a hilarious gag about blowing each other like a balloon. Then they decide to call random people to see if they can find new love.

The first man they call is asked his ideal type. He responds that his ideal type is a woman who can eat really well. Gukjoo screams in joy, heh. The man turns out to be 2PM's Taecyeon and the girls invite him over sometime. Gukjoo calls a man this time to see if he would go out with Nana or Sunny. He turns out to be Jun Hyun Moo, a Korean variety MC and the two girls reject him, haha.

At night, Jackson teaches a hip hop class to his roommates. He teaches Youngji a dance that all JYP members must know. Other members join in. Then, he starts his beatboxing class. Wow, Jackson is amazing. He starts teaching beatboxing. Haha Ryohei's beatboxing is hilariously bad.

Seho's friend Park Hyun Bin, a famous trot singer, visits. Seho wants Hyun Bin to teach trot to Ryohei. He agrees. First, Hyun Bin puts on a solo performance. Everyone dances and is in a good mood. Now, it's Ryohei's turn to showcase his talent. He's pretty good actually. Hyun Bin thinks the same and says he thinks that Ryohei will become really popular. He just needs to work on his vocal technique. His lessons include opening eyes really widely for sound to come from the head, not the throat. Also, he says that Ryohei needs to smile through the whole song HAHA. Hyun Bin's exaggerated smiling is hilarious.

Ryohei's second performance is pretty good. His eye widening and wide smile are just the cherry on top.

A roommate who hasn't appeared yet, Dong Wook is busy filming his drama. Jackson' Seho and Gukjoo decide to visit Dong Wook on set and surprise him. In their car ride to the set, Jackson surprises Gukjoo and Seho with a green mask. He then talks about his acceptance to JYP. He feels sorry for his parents for leaving them and not being able to visit them for two years, especially his sick mother.

The three arrive and decide to scare Dong Wook. Taking their masks with them, they hid in plain sight as crew members. Dong Wook doesn't notice. They finally run up to him and he realizes the situation. The tree members start beatboxing to cheer Dong Wook up from his long day of filming and Dong Wook smiles. He goes back to filming and the three watch for a while before saying goodbye and leaving for home.

My Comments:
This is my first time recapping a show and I got through it! It's much harder than it seems. I like reading recaps of dramas, but there aren't many recaps for variety shows. I love Korean variety shows and I wish there was a way for people to communicate like there are for dramas.

I occasionally watch Roommate Season 2, mostly for Youngji and Jackson. Haha, those two are so cute. I hope you guys enjoyed this recap and please comment if you can, also you can request recaps for other shows. I'm thinking Superman , maybe Abnormal Summit. Thanks! (Also sorry there are no photos, the copy-paste thing on my computer is not working for some reason.)
